Governments, the world over, took steps to infuse capital to avert a debt/credit crisis,
With injections of capital delivered straight to all nerve centres of global markets,
We still wonder why economies have not convalesced, and where is the promised redemption?
A woman has five children, and half of them are boys; now tell me please is this possible at all?

Those injections were ordered for by creating more debt at the friendly exchequer that obliged,
Debt needs to be serviced, interest and principal need to be repaid; costs that can’t be wished away,
While I knew the answer to my riddle above, I don’t know of a good solution to our economic problems,
But this I know for sure – We create great public debts, on grounds that posterity will both pay and enjoy the fruits of our expenditure; but we forget that we are somebody’s posterity and that we did not pay...
